"What Love Means to Me" by Laney Scott

What does it mean to "Just Love"? It could mean many different things, but to me, it means loving someone or something unconditionally, no matter their flaws or differences. At first glance, it might sound simple- "Oh yeah, super easy. Just Love." But in reality, it's a choice we have to make every day.

"Just Loving" your friends might look like doing something kind for them. "Just Loving" your family could be taking time out of your day to be present with them. But it goes even deeper than that. When someone hurts you-physically or emotionally- or when the world feels unjust, that is when I believe God calls us most to "Just Love." To choose compassion, to forgive, to see the good in people, and to give them the second chance that Jesus has given us.

Choosing love isn't always easy. Sometimes it's much harder than giving in to anger, resentment, or frustration. But living by the mantra of "Just Love" is more than a simple phrase- it's a perspective, a way of life, and a reminder that love has the power to transform how we see the world.
