"What Love Means to Me" by Kate Cunningham

"What Love Means to Me" by Kate Cunningham

What love means to me is quite complex. To put things in perspective love to me has always been a place with someone in which feels like home. Which might sound cliche, but it's so much more than just the saying. Love to me is a place where you can really just sit and feel comfort and compassion at the same time with someone. It's bliss, kindness, and sacrifice for someone and typically it's something you didn't know you have until it's gone. Love in itself is such a wide topic, and I feel like certain facets don't get covered so often. So when Connor asked me to write this, at first I was hesitant I wouldn't do the blog a service actually. But looking at my life currently, I think outside of loving others you can find love everywhere, it just depends on where you look for it. Which leads me to my outlook on love and why in my opinion, it doesn't need a definition. If you want it, you just have to search for it. Finding the good in situations points to love. Doing hospitable things for others, going the extra mile, being a better human is love. Checking in on friends, listening, and apologizing and taking accountability is love. Love is so much, and at the end of the day I find love everywhere because I look for it.
